Writing that title made me feel a little bit like soliciting for friends. You know… Like that movie, I Love You Man, with Paul Rudd and Jason Segel. A ‘bromance’ if you will, where “friendless Peter Klaven (Rudd) goes on a series of man-dates to find a Best Man for his wedding (IMDB).
Except we definitely do have friends (truly…I swear). But, we could always have more and we thoroughly enjoy getting to know our present friends better.
So whether we are already friends or we have a new friendship budding, here is why you want to hang with us at IBC:
We are interesting
While we may not be the Dos Equis Man, our story is quite distinguishing. We are the only asset management solution that is SaaS-born yet our history is grounded in the licensing business; which still stands strong today. We license digital content to be resold and reused in things like film, TV, documentaries, and advertising. With that, we have been fortunate that early on we formed lasting relationships with significant content entities such as the Discovery Networks, National Geographic, NCAA, BIG Ten, Sony, and many more. Now, the majority of those clients manage their content within Wazee Digital Core.

We have a new perspective
I love those conversations that give me that moment of ‘huh… I’ve never thought about it that way before,” or, “I had no idea that was possible.” When you hang out with us, you will see how Core provides users with complete control, visibility, and insight into their assets with the ability to then distribute their content across every possible audience and every possible media – at the lowest possible operational cost (while striving to yield the highest ROI). You will notice how Core is a scalable system that drives down the cost of managing and distributing digital assets. You willwatch how Core allows users to cascade and take content down in resolution and format according to distribution channel (including social). You will hear about how Wazee Digital is leveraged by some of the world’s largest sports entities such as the NCAA and the NFL Network. You will realize that we are the only organization that has a system to capture live moments and make them immediately available to be globally published and syndicated at broadcast quality with the capability of taking the assets through workflows and conversions to digital as well as making those moments available for advertising and sponsorship.
We are entertaining
I mean really how do you fill the room with documentarians, film & television producers, sports broadcasters, and top brand marketers (who make up our leadership team), and not be entertained? Though even more than our personalities (don’t forget we are also tech-geeks) what makes us entertaining are the extraordinary stories of our clients… friends… and how their businesses have changed since that first hand shake.
Like BBC, who sells a massive amount of content to a host of global distributers. They use an Online Catalogue, built out of Core, to deliver and fulfill all of the assets associated with the project such as scripts, cover art, episode descriptions, cut promos and trailers, and catalogues (for example). Or, web entities such as Maker-Studios, a subsidiary of Disney, who use Core to make the right type of assets according audience, geographic location, and digital platform. Through Core, users take control back of their assets as they reach their rightful audiences around the globe.
We are called upon to capture and ingest everything from a studio shot segment (like Charlie Rose) to massive amounts of user-generated content (like America’s Funniest Home Videos) and with a spirited libation if your hand – if you choose – you can hear all about these distinct instances.
We take care of our friends
Our job is to work with people and organizations who own valuable rights to content and ensure that content is properly protected, managed, and distributed. To do this, we ask a lot of questions and challenge assumptions. We believe and teach our team not to guess – this means we listen more than we talk. We tell our clients where we can be helpful and where we cannot and we tell clients’ honestly where we disagree with them in a professional manner. We will not always agree and believe those differences create a better dialog between ourselves. We don’t allow problems to fester and deal with bad news quickly and forthrightly. We seek our clients’ input into our roadmap but do not agree to develop every feature request. If a client is the only one asking for a feature, then we have not done a good job of understanding their requirements. And one my personal favorites, we visit our clients often and ask them to visit us often.
Oh, and we make sure they are well nourished and properly hydrated.
